Man Raised from The Dead

Excerpt from Born From Above (True Experience). Pg 52 Chapter 9

I have had the privilege by the grace of the Lord as I travel all over the world proclaiming the Living and risen Savior and King Jesus to see His mighty hand work wonderful signs and miracles. In every country I have gone I have seen sick people healed, eye-sights restored and deaf ears open and the demon oppressed set free. In one particular country I witnessed a mighty miracle when the Lord raised one young man that had died and passed away where I was visiting.

Let me share this story with you to show you how wonderful the Lord Jesus is and how He can use a willing vessel when it is yielded and available in the Master’s hand.(That can be even you my beloved friend).

Set up:

I remember it was the summer of 2000. I had just finished ministering in a church. I had just finished encouraging the people of God to share the divine love of God with people they meet from day to day; people who are hurting and need a touch from the Lord.

It was a wonderful service and some even gave their life to Jesus and others testified of having received healing in their body. After the service was over and the majority of the people had left back to their homes, I was invited with the pastor and other Christians to an afternoon barbeque out side as it was a hot day that day. We were all having a wonderful time together sharing testimonies about what the Lord was doing because of His unfailing love toward them is many ways. We had plenty to eat as there was abundance of food available.

In the place where we were there were some children playing in a swimming pool and splashing water at each other. One older man was playing with them in the pool. As I was later informed that man whom I shall call 'Tony' for this story, did not know how to swim very well and had wanted to learn how to swim. He had also just finished eating a lot of food. As I was told later, ‘Tony’ was joking around with the children in the pool however at one point he tried swimming across the pool reasoning to himself that the pool was not that long to cross from one side to the other, so therefor he took a risk and tried to swim across. Unfortunately he had temporarily forgotten that he had just eaten, was not yet well trained in swimming and the pool was very deep at the other side.

At one point ‘Tony’ could not swim any more and the children who saw him splashing the water while he struggled to remain in the surface of the water thought that he was just kidding around. So they took no thought at first but than all of a sudden he disappeared under the water and drowned to the bottom of the pool.

One child was screaming and calling all those around pointing with his finger that ‘Tony’ has just gone to the bottom of the pool. Two older men jumped in the pool in panic to pick him up only to find that ‘Tony’ was completely unconscious. Everyone panicked and screamed in terror as they all witnessed together the passing away of a young man’s life in front of their very eyes.

I remember clearly till this day that in that instance I sensed an unnatural sensation as if a shower of liquid like honey was poured upon me as I walked toward to unconscious dead body. It seemed as if every one around me was put in a freeze mode while I knelt near ‘Tony’s body to assist him and turn him around on his back to pray over his cold body.

I checked his breathing and his pulse to discover that there was no movement at all. I remember that as soon as I laid my hands on his body and his head I literally could feel immediately as if another supernatural hand was laid upon mine(Acts 19:11) and I commanded by authority and boldness in the name of Jesus Christ for his spirit to return to his body. The young man was terrified as he returned back to his body. The Lord had led me to lay hands on his dead body and pray for him and rebuke the spirit of death off of him and command his spirit to return.

Immediately he came back to life and he acted terrified and wandered saying, “Where am I”? During my visit at hospital he told me and the pastor that he had died. His spirit had come out of his body and saw every one panicking and trying to raise him up by natural means. He saw his own body lying on the concrete floor near the pool when all of a sudden he was sucked down by what felt like a huge vacuum. He saw himself going down to a great thick darkness, descending down and down in great speed. He felt terror in his spirit as he knew he was going to a terrible place and knew it was not a nice place. He saw himself going to hell! He than recalls that all of a sudden he heard a voice cry out, “In the name of Jesus come back” and that is when some strong mighty power sucked him back into his body in an instant and began breathing again.

He thanked the Lord that he was given another chance to live and this time live for God. His testimony alone makes me believe that there is a hell and how happy are those who have put their faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ, because they will never have go there! What a wonderful Jesus we serve! (Death is conquered through Christ: Matthew 10:8 Romans 6:9/ 8:37-39)

No human ability by itself could accomplish this great miracle but when we are in fellowship and united as one with Christ we can do great and mighty thing through His authority and the power of the Holy Spirit.(Matthew 10:1-8, Luke 10:1,8-9,16-22)
